Hire Contracts:
Whatever form a contract may take there is only one real
important statement.
"Pay promptly for good quality work"
Large organizations and government agencies may have difficulty paying every two weeks or within 30 days. Late payments can affect job quality. It should not...but can and too often does. Not always do you know the true financial position of the contractor. If he is not getting paid, he may want to rush to the next job where he will get paid! Governments tend to advertise larger contracts through the press, inviting everyone who meets the basic criteria to submit a tender. While this can invite new interest where shortage of contractors exists, having too many contractors submit bids, with the tender being awarded to the lowest bidder, can often result in poorer quality of work being done for less money.
Hourly Hire
Sometimes this is the only fair way to get small "trial or research" work done. Other than this, it should be avoided in favor of payment based on piece rate. Example: 100 AC at $0.25 per spot at 400 spots per acre. Each spot shall be: a mound of mixed, organic and mineral soil cultivated to a depth of 24 inches and mounded planting spot not greater than 8 inches in height and/ or other stated criteria.
Application
Wherever excavators exist, the VH Mulcher can be used for planting spot preparation. It may be uncommon that something developed in Canada (the far and cold North) would have application at the equator but the principles for growing plants apply universally. The only difference is how the principles are ranked in order of importance.
