Coastal British Columbia, Vancouver Island, temperate rain forest. With so much slash it is hard to see the 450 spots per acre (mounds) we put in. The excavator crawled over all this material and made improved planting microsites without having to pile or burn the valuable soil rebuilding debris. Very soft ground. Average slope 10%. Suggested cost $0.55 per spot.
